Holy crap! I just realized I haven't posted anything new for weeks. So here are some color goombas, done on my new Cintiq.

Post-it Goombas

I was doing these every morning for a while,
as a warm-up before my regular gig (drawing storyboards).

Confrontational Goombas

Here are some freshly-picked goombas

A Rod Serling look-alike.

Some regular knuckleheads.

An angry conservative (notice the sweater).

Just a bunch of idiots (can you pick out the goomba?)

some DRUNK idiots, and a guy who doesn't approve.

Here are some my earliest Goomba drawings.
I think I'd just gotten a new pen brush and
just couldn't put it down.

A lot of these guys were inspired by the movie "Tin Men".
I loved the way they dressed and talked. And they were
always hanging out in groups.

Goomba comics

These one-page Goomba comics were done
quickly in my sketchbook, without any pre-planning-
I just wanted them to seem like snipets of a bigger story.

This last page is from a comic book I've been working on
for a few years. It's a series of short stories revolving
around a small crew of criminals. I'll post the actual story
(with dialogue inside the ballons!) later on
